10 year Anniversary Christmas Party
Happy birthday Manchester United New Zealand, ten glorious years. A good crowd with plenty of old faces, lots of chat and a wonderful spread.
A gathering of about 40 celebrated our 10th anniversary at the Naval Sports Complex.
Apologies from Mike Hester (reffing the Waitakere v Auckland game out west) and Rob (honeymooning). A great gathering of Arthur and Lynne, Andrew and Jo (Rotorua) and Trevor (Whangarei), Santa and splendid facilities offered by the Navy.
The recent passing of George Best cast a slight pall over the day, however we had a video of his life and a black and white film of Auckland vs Man Utd from 1967. There was also a condolence book, which will be sent to Old Trafford by the end of July.
A fantastic time was had by all and we look forward to a memorable 2006 together !!
