The meeting

What a great turnout last night, very pleased to see some new faces in the crowd and lots of new ideas espoused too. The main topic was the continuation of our LMTB for next season and how we can raise funds to pay for it, the departure of Kenny the currymeister on his now regular trip back to blighty and discussion on the new Patron after the sad passing of Georgie. If you have any thoughts on who you believe would make a great patron don't hesitate to let us know, all ideas welcome. The selection will take place at the AGM in August.

Oh Rooney

With the wonder kid in such devastating form, England may yet have a chance at the World Cup this year. Another wonderful double from the young striker in a 2-1 win over Spurs this morning, adding to the up and down season United are experiencing.

C'est la vie

After a brilliant performance against Arsenal, a very ordinary one against the worst team in Premier history has cost Utd any chance of catching the blues. The performance of the Sunderland keeper was fantastic, but still with three or four of the best strikers in football dressed in red we should have done better, but such is life.

The soccer team has a couple of weeks off, so see you all fit and raring to go at Onepoto domain on April 30.

Come on you REDS

Absolutely brilliant, this mornings defeat of Arsenal showed how well the team can play when everyone is firing and how unlucky we were earlier in the season with injuries and such hampering our Euro and FA Cup efforts. We may not catch the Chelski wagon, but if we finish off the season playing like this morning, it all bodes well for next season and some great football in the World Cup.

Congratulations, Man Utd NZ, 300 goals !!!!

Well done to the Reds, with Aberdeen James scoring the 300th club goal in the match against Takapuna today. Takapuna still gave us a football lesson though, even after we valiantly came back from five nil down, to go into halftime only five to three. Steve Taylor tried desperately to lift the team and Danny played awesome at the back, but in the end there were too many chiefs and not enough indians and the old boys gave us a real lesson in passing the ball. Full wrap up in the mag.

Go Ruud

Well, what a morning, Manchester United win and Chelsea stumble again. Louis Saha was again the star, but Ruud shows that he still has the spirit and finally scored his 150th goal for Man Utd. Full details in the links.
