European Cup
What a great day, Speakers Corner was rocking, the waterfront was rocking and the battle on the pitch went down to the wire, but despite never winning a penalty scenerio in most peoples memories, England or United, it was Manchester United who were victorious !
John was a great host at the Speakers, fabulous brekkys, coffees and plenty of British beers.
A group then proceeded into town to met the old pats, Riccardo, Cardiff, Yvonne, Neil and Chris who had watched the game on the waterfront, the emotional meeting of the two groups says a lot about the feeling in this club and its members, ex or not. The singing was fantastic and every time a new group of Man Utd fans turned up or walked past the welcome from the lads was great.
So where ever you watched the game, we hope you had a good time and look forward to seeing you all some time soon.

United at Starling Park
The Manchester United NZ Sunday football team played Ranui at Starling Park yesterday. The Ranui of old now looks like its gone for good and the younger version is a vastly different unit, even though they lacked the Chileans, they played some great football and we had to work hard for a four all draw.
Some great goals were scored for us, especially Steve Taylors, and Jans was also a blaster.
Then the telly showed up and Steve Mellor scored the interview.
Thanks to all the fans for the support and I know you extra guys & gals weren't just there for the cameras.
