Gooooo LISA

Well,
History was made on Sunday, when Jays girlfriend Lisa, became the first woman to score for the Manchester United NZ team.

We were playing against the North Shore Roar, who had stretched us for most of the game, when in a goal mouth scramble, Lisa steered the ball home.

The game was played in a good spirit and Wes grabbed another goal for us late in the second half.

Norwest today

A good game of football today at Huapai.

Norwest are just warming up for their Saturday league season and we took it to them early with at least three shots on goal in the first spell. They fluked the first goal and then scored a cracker from 30 yards out. We had played very well and only lacked a few touches in the midfield and up front, which could have turned the game.
Then Wes sensationally burst away and scored a cracking goal, it was simply sublime and boy, did the world hear about it !!!!!
They turned up the heat again, but they lacked that togetherness and we level pegged with them till near the end when they scored again.

A good game played in the best spirits ( !!!) and we retired to the bar, annoyed a little, but happy over all.

Thanks to all the guys who turned and Jays missus for the extra support and later coaching advice ! .. :)

another game against the Roar at Fort Takapuna on the 25th.
This is always a good game and played at an awesome spot, just above Narrow Neck beach.
