Congratulations to Ole and the Reserves
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his reserve team took the Premier Reserve League North after the only remaining challengers the Mickies got beat by their neighbours Everton (there's something sweet about that). What makes it more special is the fact that they did it with class players Tom Cleverley, Danny Drinkwater and Sam Hewson, out on loan.
They were in a great position after Gabriel Obertan sealed a win against Liverpool with a fantastic goal last week.
Sir Alex Ferguson has praised the team and coaches for their success.
“I’d like to say congratulations to Ole and Warren,” said Ferguson. “They’ve done a great job. Whenever we’ve appointed a new Reserve team coach, I’ve always explained to them what a difficult job it is because it’s subject to what I need. I may pull out three or four players from a training session or I might say, ‘these players can’t play for you on Thursday because they’re on standby for me on Saturday’. So it’s a difficult job.”
