AGM
Dear Members
Following ongoing difficulties in accessing the Navy Facilities for our August AGM, we have tried a number of alternative potential venues - without success (for a number of reasons).
We are required to have an AGM to elect new officers for the 2010/11 year and present financial statments for the past season etc hence we have elected to hold the AGM at The Speaker's Corner, Browns Bay, Auckland on the evening of Wednesday the 18th of August 2010, commencing at 7.30 pm.
The Club will run a 'limited' bar tab for members along with providing some finger food.
All members are welcome (and emplored) to attend - those unable to attend are requested to forward any nominations/comments relating to the business of the AGM to the Secretary or Chairman in advance of 18th August so these matters may be discussed at the AGM.
Footnote: Rob Harris has been preparing the monthly Club Magazine for the past few years and, continuing-on from previous editors, this has been a fantastic publication. Rob finds himself with a young family and growing work demands and would like to have someone take over this role within the Club. Could you please consider if this is something YOU could do - it involves cutting/pasting/assembling United info (and creating new content) for the magazine and emailing to members. We would like to resolve this at the AGM.
Regards
Brian Wood
